Head Coach, Dan Forrester
Dan has been leading HAWK Masters at UNCW for the last three years. He is the Former Head Coach Toms River YMCA Swim team 78-79, Asst. Coach NLU Swimming and Diving 80-83, Head Coach Indian Aquatic Club 80-83 , Monroe,La. Norwin H.S. and Norwin Aquatic Club Head Coach 86-89 North Huntington, Pa., Waves of Wilmington Head Coach 89-06, Wilmington Y Masters Swim Team 89-99 , UNCW Asst. Coach 2000-06,2012-14.
Dan has developed High School All-Americans, YMCA-All Americans, Junior National Qualifiers, Olympic Trial Qualifiers and Finalist, and a number of US Masters Finalist, numerous CAA Conference Individual and Relay Champions and has been a part of 8 Men’s and one Women’s Conference Championship.Acquired a USS level -4 Swim Coach. Lifetime member ASCA.
Dan continues to swim and compete in US Masters swimming competitions.
Celia recently joined HAWK Masters from Fort Bragg, NC. She is the former Bragg Masters head coach from 2011-2017.

ASCA level 2 (currently working on level 3)
ASCA Masters’ level 3
USMS level 3 certified coach
Celia has trained numerous Ironman competitors and USMS national champions since 2011 and continues to work with all levels of Masters swimmers. She has been coaching age group and senior swimmers since 1986 and has an extensive competitive swimming background.
She competed at Division I Nationals for Purdue University. Celia is a Masters’ World Champion (2014) in the women’s 200m Free Relay, an individual National Champion in the 50yd butterfly, 50m Backstroke and in multiple relays. Celia placed second in two individual events at the 2014 Masters’ Pan Am Games. She is nationally ranked in the Top Ten for her age group and continues to train and compete at the national and international level.
